Amazonas

Amazonas makes hammocks and hanging chairs using traditional Brazilian craftsmanship. The fabrics are soft, tightly woven cotton, with at least 85% recycled cotton in the coloured versions, and the hanging chairs use FSC™-certified beech spreader bars. Many suspension cords spread your weight evenly, which gives Amazonas hammocks their typical fanned-out, weightless feel.

How much weight can they hold?
The Barbados and XXL hammocks are rated to 200 kg; the Brasil hanging chair to 150 kg.

How far apart do the anchor points need to be?
At least 290 cm for the Barbados hammock and 310 cm for the XXL. The Brasil chair hangs from a single point at least 210 cm high.

How high should it hang?
Around 40–50 cm from the ground when empty.

Can they be used indoors?
Yes, from a suitable beam or ceiling anchor rated for the load.
